How to select the proper installation point of electromagnetic flowmeter
1. The electromagnetic flowmeter should select the straight pipe section filled with liquid, such as the vertical section of the pipe (the flow direction should be from bottom to top) or the horizontal pipe full of liquid (the lowest point in the whole pipeline is appropriate) during the installation and measurement. No non-full-pipe situation may occur;
2, the measurement position should be selected in the upper reaches of more than 5D and downstream 3D straight section;
3, the measurement point should be selected as far as possible away from the pump, valves and other equipment, to avoid its interference with the measurement;
4. The selection of measurement points should be as far away as possible from high-power stations, strong magnetic field interference sources, etc.

The axis of the measuring electrode must be approximately horizontal;
· The measuring pipe must be completely filled with liquid;
· At least 5xD (D is the inner diameter of the flowmeter) straight pipe section in front of the flowmeter, and at least 3xD (D is the inner diameter of the flowmeter) straight pipe section at the rear; for convenience of installation and removal, can be added after the flowmeter Pipe expansion joints.
· The flow direction of the fluid is the same as the direction of the flowmeter arrow;
· The vacuum in the pipeline will damage the inner lining of the flowmeter, and special care must be taken;
· There should be no strong electromagnetic field near the flowmeter;
· There should be sufficient space near the flowmeter for installation and maintenance;
· If there is vibration in the measuring pipe, there should be a fixed bearing on both sides of the flowmeter;
· The distance between the mixing point and the flowmeter should be at least 30 × D (D is the inner diameter of the flowmeter) when measuring mixed liquids of different media;
· In order to facilitate the cleaning and maintenance of the flowmeter in the future, a bypass pipe should be installed and the 3D straight pipe section after the first 5D of the flowmeter should be guaranteed.
· When installing PTFE-lined flowmeters, the bolts connecting the two flanges should be tightened evenly. Otherwise, the PTFE lining will be easily crushed, and it is better to use a torque wrench.

· Should be installed on the rise of the pipeline;
· Installed in open discharge piping, should be installed in the lower part of the pipeline;
· If the pipe falls more than 5m, install the exhaust valve downstream of the sensor;
· Control valves and shut-off valves should be installed downstream of the sensor and should not be installed upstream of the sensor;
• The sensor must not be installed at the inlet and outlet of the pump and it should be installed at the outlet of the pump.
