LED industry requirements for robot performance and price

In the LED packaging, because the weight of the product is not very heavy, the load requirements for the robot arm are not too high, and the arm with a long arm length is not required, but in the sorting, because the chip is small in size, Therefore, there are certain requirements for the accuracy of the robot arm.

Zhou Shihua pointed out that the current "unmanned factory" project is still doing a preliminary plan, and the accuracy and speed of the robot must be confirmed with the engineer.

In addition to sorting, the LED industry has certain requirements for loading and unloading robots. Previously, it was carried out by means of conveyor belts. However, conveyor belts have certain limitations in conveying raw materials and are not flexible enough. Therefore, it would be best if robots could be replaced. The choice, but requires the robot to move around flexibly. At present, the solution that the company thinks is feasible is to use the AGV to carry the robot arm to load and unload. The flexibility and speed are more concerned by the enterprise.

Of course, the specific requirements for robot performance need to be determined according to the specific process. Tang Qiongshan said that the performance requirements of different processes for robots are different.

It is worth mentioning that the LED lighting market is large in volume, but the profit is low, which is why the automation is only in some enterprises that have reached the output value scale. Therefore, for LED lighting enterprises, the cost control of the production line is particularly important. Therefore, in the use of robots, domestic robot companies with price advantages will have more advantages.

“Simple robots will do it ourselves, but if it involves a complex movement that requires outsourcing robots, we will choose to use domestic robots,” Zhou Shihua said.
