The AUIRFN8459 and AUIRFN8458 are the first two products in IR’s automotive 5x6mm dual PQFN power MOSFET family, utilizing the company's most advanced COOLiRFET™ 40V channel technology. The AUIRFN8459 delivers exceptional performance with an ultra-low on-resistance of 5.9mΩ per channel and can handle up to 50A, making it ideal for high-performance automotive applications.

When compared to SO-8 packages, the new 5x6mm dual PQFN COOLiRFETâ„¢ device provides a shorter thermal path to the board, improved thermal performance, and higher efficiency. It also offers a lower overall system cost, making it a compelling choice for modern automotive designs.
All IR automotive MOSFETs adhere to the zero-defect quality concept required by IR. Each device undergoes dynamic and static device averaging, along with 100% automated wafer-level visual inspection. Additionally, they meet the AEC-Q101 standard, ensuring that on-resistance variation does not exceed 20% after 1,000 temperature cycles.
The new devices are environmentally friendly, lead-free, and RoHS compliant, meeting all necessary industry standards for sustainability and safety.
