I. Customs import value of the national lighting industry in March 2009
(1) Lighting equipment products
Incandescent bulbs: The number of imports in March was 141,128,700; the total number of imports in the first three months of this year was 356,499,500, compared with 438,195,700 in the same period last year, the year-on-year growth rate was -18.64%.
Fluorescent lamps and discharge lamps: The number of imports in March was 69,088.3 thousand; the total number of imports in the first three months was 167.086 million, compared with 21,667,900 in the same period last year, the year-on-year growth rate was -22.89%.
Tungsten halogen lamps: The number of imports in March was 936.22 million; the total number of imports in the first three months was 20,243,400, compared with 30,725,200 in the same period last year, the year-on-year growth rate was -32.25%.
Metal halide lamps (HID lamps): The number of imports in March was 422,000; the total number of imports in the first three months was 1,079,600, compared with 1,931,600 in the same period last year, and the growth rate was -43.18%.
Other electric light sources: The number of imports in March was 729,600; the total number of imports in the first three months was 2,786,600, compared with 1,884,200 in the same period last year, with a year-on-year growth rate of 46.94%.
Electric light source parts: The import quantity in March was 188.91 tons; the total import volume in the first three months was 510.44 tons, and the volume in the same period last year was 746.57 tons, the year-on-year growth rate was -31.63%.
(2) Lighting products
Luminous signs, nameplates and similar products: the import volume in March was 14 tons; the total import volume in the first three months of this year was 21.68 tons, compared with 43.87 tons in the same period last year, the year-on-year growth rate was -50.58%.
Lamps and lighting fixture parts: The import volume in March was 430.65 tons; the total import volume in the first 12 months of this year was 1088.01 tons, compared with 1763.39 tons in the same period last year, the year-on-year growth rate was -38.3%.
Ballasts for discharge lamps or discharge tubes: The number of imports in March was 1,074,700; the total number of imports in the first three months of this year was 3,104,800, compared with 7,365,600 in the same period last year, and the growth rate was -57.85%.
Lamp holders: The number of imports in March was 13.19 million. In the first three months of this year, the total number of imports was 34.614 million, compared with 36.742 million in the same period last year. The growth rate was -5.8%.
