LED Lighting in Taiwan Will Increase by 32% in 2012

In 2010, the output value of LED lighting in Taiwan increased by 65%, for the first time exceeded NT$100 billion and reached a scale of 151.6 billion yuan. In 2012, it will continue to grow by 32% and challenge the output value of 200 billion yuan. And the overall LED market supply and demand, whether China's production capacity will be the key.

Among them, LED lighting will become one of the driving forces for the growth of Taiwan's optoelectronics industry. In 2011, high-power LEDs estimated that prices would fall between 15-20% throughout the year. From a global point of view, LED lighting accounted for only 3% of the total lighting market penetration in 2010. It is expected to grow to 5% in 2011 and 11% in 2012. The overall LED lighting output will exceed 10 billion US dollars. Last year, lighting applications accounted for only 14% of LED applications. By 2014, it was estimated that it could account for 24%, second only to the application of signals and indicator lights, and LED wall lamps.
