LonMark International Association Establishes Lighting Advisory Committee

LONMARK International is a non-profit international organization that develops and promotes international authoritative organizations that control network interoperability standards. The association today announced the establishment of an industrial advisory committee to guide and promote the technical and market development activities of members of the organization in the field of lighting. The committee consists of representatives of advanced developers, design companies and key users of international indoor and outdoor lighting systems, including BetaLED, California Energy Commission, California Lighting Technology Center, Echelon Corporation, US Dahua Trade Bureau, and the US Pacific. Gas Power Company, Philips Lighting Company and ROMlight International Inc. The news was announced at the Lightfair International Exhibition, the most prestigious annual lighting industry event in North America, featuring products and services in the architectural and commercial lighting sectors.

Mr. Ron Bernstein, Executive Chairman of the LONMARK International Association, said: Open standards are key to the success of any network. With standards, you can open up bigger markets for manufacturers, save more cost for system integrators, and provide end users with more choices and richer features. We believe that if we comply with ISO/IEC

The requirements of the 14908 standard, working in accordance with the norms established by the LONMARK International Association, will certainly enhance and accelerate the application of intelligent lighting systems in buildings and urban management, not only bringing new opportunities to investors, but also bringing environmental benefits. More benefits.

Robert, Director of Government Relations, Greater Washington, USA

Mr. Grow said: Nowadays, intelligent lighting systems have developed rapidly in both public places such as streets and parking lots, and in indoor environments such as office buildings and warehouses. This system not only saves a lot of electricity and taxpayer money, but also greatly reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Promoting the application of intelligent lighting systems is a sensible economic policy and environmental policy that can create jobs today and improve our future in the future. My research shows that if the 10 largest metropolitan areas in the United States use intelligent network control and LED street lights, they can reduce CO2 emissions by 1.2 million tons per year. This is equivalent to reducing 212,000 cars on the road and saving $90 million in taxpayers each year.

LONMARK International has done a lot of work in the field of intelligent lighting. Currently, 14 famous manufacturers around the world can provide 54 kinds of LONMARK-certified lighting products to the market. The announcement today will further expand the impact of these products, and will quickly raise awareness among end users, design companies, system integrators and manufacturers to embrace and apply intelligent lighting systems.
