A few days back, we got wind through reliable sources that the GAC Chuanqi new all-electric compact SUV, the GE3, is anticipated to hit the market officially on July 21st. This vehicle runs solely on an electric powertrain, boasting a maximum driving range exceeding 310 kilometers.
The GAC Chuanqi GE3 is constructed on a brand-new electric vehicle platform. Its exterior features a fresh design language. The front end incorporates more angular design elements, such as the headlamps and fog lights, giving the car a striking, alert appearance. Additionally, blue accents have been added around the logo and the central grille to emphasize its status as an eco-friendly electric vehicle.
On the sides, the car employs a popular floating roof design, with the D-pillar painted in black and extending towards the rear, creating a distinctive two-tone body aesthetic. In terms of dimensions, the car measures 4337 mm in length, 1825 mm in width, 1655 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2560 mm.
Inside, the GE3’s cabin design is minimalistic yet functional. The central control panel and air conditioning vents feature prominent blue highlights. The gear shifter is a knob-style setup commonly found in electric vehicles. Furthermore, the new model comes equipped with a multifunction steering wheel, electronic parking brake, and other modern amenities.
From a performance perspective, the GE3 is driven by an all-electric system. It delivers a maximum motor output of 163 horsepower and a peak torque of 290 Nm. With a top driving range surpassing 310 kilometers, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9.3 seconds.
This upcoming launch marks a significant step forward for GAC Chuanqi in the rapidly growing EV market, positioning itself as a player offering both style and functionality.
