From July 27th to July 30th, 2017, the 15th ChinaJoy (ChinaJoy) exposition took place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center under the theme of "15 Years of Peers, Sharing Pan-Fun Entertainment." As an international entertainment extravaganza, ChinaJoy spanned 15 pavilions, encompassing a staggering 170,000 square meters of exhibition space. Nearly 1,000 exhibitors from across the globe were in attendance, showcasing everything from PC and mobile games to host games, VR/AR hardware, esports, animation, film and TV, music, and even online literature.
I had the chance to explore the expo over the weekend and was blown away by the sheer scale and variety of offerings. One of the highlights for me was the unveiling of "Sprint Vector," a VR parkour game, showcased on the HTC VIVE booth. The game was introduced by none other than Mr. Entertainment, who’s well-known for his engaging style and ability to connect with players. In "Sprint Vector," all you need to do is slip on the headset and controllers, and suddenly you're running, jumping, climbing, throwing, drifting, and even traversing through dimensions. The game takes place across various challenging maps, testing your speed, agility, and reflexes like never before.
As I watched people play, I couldn’t help but feel impressed by how immersive the experience was. It felt like you were truly part of another world. The graphics were stunning, and the mechanics were so intuitive that even first-timers seemed to pick it up quickly.
