First of all, introduce the background of this half marathon.
The Shuifu International Marathon, known as the “First Run of the Wanli Riverâ€, is located in Shuifu County, under the Zhaotong City in Yunnan Province. It is a national marathon bronze medal event, and the world’s third-largest hydropower station Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station is located here. It is also half of the country. Marathon is the only race that runs 2 laps. Shuifu is located on the edge of the Yangtze River and is surrounded by mountains. The slope of the track is still very fluctuating, which adds a lot of difficulty to the game.

On October 14th, 2016, I set out with our teammates from the Ziyang Running Mission. A group of 17 people set off from the Ziyang Railway Station and went all the way to sing and laugh. It was very lively.

In the depth of 2380 meters below the Jinsha River Grand Canyon in the dams of Shuiwei County, there is also an odd water spring. It is understood that after the completion of the Xiangjiaba Power Station, the old scenic spot of the Western Grand Canyon will remain at the bottom of the river. In order to preserve this so-called Asia’s largest open-air hot spring among the Gaoxiapinghu Lake, the original hot spring developers have closed the Old West Hot Spring Spa. After the scenic spot, it also spent 550 million yuan to move the hot springs to the top of the river. The hot spring water was pumped to the top of the mountain more than 300 meters above the river bottom and a new hot spring resort was built. This is what we now see in Shuifu County.
