Shen Yuanqing: Microsoft's public cloud will enter China and build the world's ninth data center

In the speech, COO Shen Yuanqing of Microsoft Asia Pacific R&D Group stated that cloud computing, big data, mobile Internet, social platforms, and human-computer interaction will become the five major development trends of the IT industry.

He also said that Microsoft's Windows Azure public cloud service will soon be officially brought into China, and data centers will be established in Beijing and Shanghai, which will become Microsoft's ninth data center in the world.

At the meeting, Microsoft Asia Pacific R&D Group COO Shen Yuanqing predicted the five major development trends of the future IT industry and shared the latest developments of Microsoft.

The first is cloud computing. Of the 55,000 employees worldwide, 800 are doing basic research, of which 250 are in China, which also represents the importance of China in global research. The 55,000 employees worldwide have all been introduced into cloud computing. Therefore, Microsoft's internal slogan is that cloud computing will fully optimize enterprises and represent the development of innovative industries. It will also promote changes in business models. On July 7, Microsoft officially launched the "Cloud Accelerator" project in China, inviting innovative companies with strategic vision in China to Microsoft, and encouraging more startups to use Microsoft cloud computing platforms for technology development.
