According to Xia Hongping, Vice President of R&D at Bilda, the company plans to launch four high-power emergency power products. These units can withstand 4KV/6KV surge tests and feature an IP65 or higher protection rating. Their emergency output ranges from 30W to 60W. “Our design philosophy emphasizes ultra-thin and lightweight structures, making both the power supply and luminaires more compact and efficient,†he explained.
In addition, last year, Bilda introduced a groundbreaking product—a “two-in-one†integrated intelligent power supply combining emergency and drive functions. This product attracted considerable attention at the Hong Kong Autumn Lantern Show. It effectively combines LED power supplies, batteries, and emergency drives, offering superior stability and competitive pricing.
The “two-in-one†intelligent emergency power supply is priced at just 99 yuan, a highly attractive price point compared to many competitors. Ke Jianjun acknowledged that cost-effectiveness is one of the key advantages of their emergency power products. “Compared to domestic brands, our prices are half; compared to international names like Philips, we are only one-third the cost.â€
Beyond affordability, Bilda’s emergency power supplies also deliver strong performance. Each product undergoes rigorous testing, including input/output checks, protection performance assessments, safety and reliability evaluations, and electromagnetic compatibility tests, all conducted according to international and domestic standards.
Thanks to its combination of excellent value and performance, Bilda has established partnerships with several well-known domestic lighting manufacturers. Ke Jianjun noted that Bilda was among the first to invest in R&D and mass production of LED emergency power. Currently, the company mainly targets top-tier international brands such as Keston and Fulham.
According to Gaogong LED, Bilda recently secured an order from the global retail giant Costco and successfully fulfilled the production and shipment as scheduled. Ke Jianjun said that many manufacturers in the industry have already recognized the quality of their emergency power supplies and are eager to explore further collaboration.
As a rising star in the LED driver power industry, Bilda has gradually gained recognition in the emergency power sector. In 2017, the company experienced rapid growth, particularly in the emergency power supply business. Over the past year, its overseas presence has expanded significantly, with numerous companies engaging in OEM discussions.
This quick market expansion is driven by continuous R&D efforts and the establishment of a robust certification system and cost-effective solutions.

We have become one of the leading power supply brands in European and American markets,†Ke Jianjun stated. “To date, we have launched over 30 models, making us one of the most complete manufacturers in the emergency power supply market.â€
Moreover, every product from Bilda has passed UL listed certification. The company is the first in China to achieve this certification. In 2017 alone, they invested over 5 million yuan in certifications. Despite the high cost, Ke Jianjun remained confident in the future of the emergency power market.
Currently, there is no mandatory requirement for emergency power installations in China. Only specialized lighting manufacturers like Ocean King and Huarong Technology use them in specific environments such as oil and coal mines. Ke Jianjun advocates for government-led initiatives to promote the use of emergency lighting in public spaces during emergencies or power outages.
With the rapid development of the LED driver industry, competition has intensified. Yet, Bilda has carved out a unique path, taking an unconventional route in the LED emergency power market segment.
