On February 16, 2009, Wang Ruohong, deputy director of the Energy Efficiency Labeling Management Center of China National Institute of Standardization, and his team visited the National Lighting Quality Supervision (Zhongshan) and accompanied the heads of the center, Jiang Yinghong and Peng Zhenjian, to visit the laboratory.
China National Institute of Standardization is the authorized institution of energy efficiency labeling in China. The National Lighting Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Zhongshan) is the first laboratory approved by it to have the energy efficiency testing capability of self-ballasted fluorescent lamps for general lighting. In the future, the National Center will provide services such as verification, publicity, training and energy efficiency labeling product supervision, inspection and evaluation for more domestic and foreign lighting companies, which will not only help to achieve the goal of improving energy efficiency and energy saving of lighting products. It will help promote the progress of energy-saving technologies and enhance the international competitiveness of lighting products.
The two sides stated that they will further expand the scope of cooperation and play a good role as a bridge for testing institutions.
