Philips' new electronic ballast locks in energy savings

Recently, the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the Interim Measures for the Administration of Financial Subsidy Funds for Efficient Lighting Products Promotion, which focused on supporting high-efficiency lighting products through financial subsidies, including supporting electronic ballasts. What is a quality electronic ballast?

Expert analysis: not only to lock the user safely and reliably, but also to save energy and lock the user's use cost. For example, in early 2008, Philips introduced the EB-E Certalume TLD (meaning reliable lighting products, hereinafter referred to as EB-E C). This new product has not only experienced the literal transformation from EB-E to EB-E C, but also provides a guarantee for the safety of lighting and excellent energy-saving effects.

Safe and reliable locking

In the use of the lamp, we often encounter a "red condition": the lamp is leaking, not activated, not activated, the filament is broken, etc., which will damage the ballast. The filament is overheated or the lamp is dropped or even causing personal injury or economic loss. As a high quality ballast, it should have an abnormal state protection function. However, most of the ballasts on the market do not have this function, or cut corners in production. Safety has become a concern for users. The Philips EB-E C has achieved the national CCC certification, and complies with the IEC61347 international safety standard. It uses an abnormal protection circuit to automatically cut off the power when the lamp is abnormal, thus ensuring user safety.

With the increase in the number of indoor electrical appliances, potential electromagnetic interference is also increasing, so the electromagnetic interference capability of electronic ballasts becomes a new standard to measure its safety. The Philips EB-E C meets the European CSPRI 15 EMI electromagnetic interference standard, which greatly reduces interference with electronic systems such as TVs and mobile phones. Its application temperature ranges from -10 degrees to 50 degrees, and there is a wide voltage range of 165~253V, which is more suitable for voltage instability in China.

Lock economy and energy saving

Today, as energy-saving requirements become clearer, high-quality electronic ballasts lock in energy consumption and lock in user cost.

Philips EB-E C has more than 20,000 hours of use, no noise, no stroboscopic, high output brightness, compared with Philips magnetic ballasts, saving more than 20%, and can safely extend lamp life. The user's cost of use is plummeted. In use, Philips EB-E C does not require a starter, and the installation size is the same as that of the magnetic ballast. It can be directly replaced during installation, which greatly saves the replacement cost.

Economical and environmentally friendly, saving energy, Philips EB-E C and Philips three-color fluorescent tube support in the commercial taste of supermarkets, hotels and other commercial places, as well as offices, factories, advertising light boxes and other long-term ignition applications.
