Apple gets eye tracking patents for future iPhone or use

Apple today won a patent related to eye tracking technology, which means that the next generation of iPhone may have built-in software to track eyeballs.

Apple filed a patent application in September 2012, and the US Patent and Trademark Office has approved the patent. According to Apple's introduction, the technology can delay the execution of the display operation according to the user's line of sight, and can also change the user interface to generate and execute related information. For example, if a user makes a spelling mistake and the eye is looking at the wrong word, the system will automatically correct it; if the device finds that the user's line of sight is not gazing at the wrong word, the system will delay the correction. Apple believes this feature makes the operation more intuitive.

New technologies can be widely used in notification delivery. For example, mobile phones often send a large amount of information to users in an instant, and because of the time, the user may miss some important content. After adopting the new technology, the device can automatically detect the user's line of sight and adjust the information transmission speed. New technologies can also come in handy when sending voicemail pop-up notifications, news feeds, APP update notifications, and more.

More and more devices will support biometrics, including voice, face, fingerprint recognition and more. Apple iPhone 5s, 6s implanted the Touch ID fingerprint reader. In July 2013, Google applied for patents related to eye tracking. When users track the flight path of a bird with sight, or read a line of text, the device will automatically unlock. At this year's MWC conference, Fujitsu also launched a smartphone that recognizes the iris.

Not long ago, Apple also received a new patent, which can add emergency functions to fingerprint recognition sensors. In some specific environments, new features can block access to contacts, mail, photo information, or automatically activate the phone camera and microphone when you open a document.
